Jockey Scott Stevens is approaching a personal milestone of 4,000 all time thoroughbred wins. Through racing yesterday, March 15, Stevens was at 3999 wins.
Scott has mounts Friday at Turf Paradise including race 3 where he rides the 8/5 morning line favorite.

I'm confused. When Scott got his 4000th career win at Canterbury in the John Bullit back in August of 2009, was that his 4000th overall win--throughbreds and Qs combined? At any rate, Scott has made a great comeback from that nasty incident 4th of July weekend last year.h Best of luck Scott!

two summers back Scott celebrated his 4,000 overall win which included quarter horse, mixed-breed and thoroughbred races.
This will be his 4000 thoroughbred win.
It has been quite a comeback since that tragic July night. Scott went from death's doorstep back to the winners' circle. His first race back following months of rehab was a victory.
